You can get paid loads of money working for defense contractors in the USA because most politicians are incredibly stupid and are funding them massive amounts for pretty much no reason...

Which is why if and when we get into a real full-scale war, chances are we will lose. All the military's stuff is becoming ultra-high-tech and thus super-ultra-mega expensive and thus very hard to produce in large quantities and therefore is not very effective... Technology needs to be balanced evenly between cost and reproducibility, something the government is failing to understand... A single one of our jets costs 150 million USD, while most of Russia's jets cost 30-40 million USD , are far easier to fly, and aren't too inferior. Because of unit cost, Russia has five pilots for every one of ours. And don't even get me started on China, dawg.

Not to mention we have 22 battleships and the rest of the entire world has seven. Building them is one massive waste of money, and manufacturing their ammo is another. Plus, one modern bomber can easily beat four battleships, or even more than that. Our military is so ridiculously stupid right now.

Dude so in Chemistry we're watching a movie about the atomic bomb and other nuclear weapons. And at one time they blow up all these ships they took from the Japanese, German, and old ones of ours to test how much damage the bombs did. Well I was just sitting there wondering how we could actually afford to be all willy nilly about it.

Well the ships we steal are sometimes damaged and it takes a lot of moneys and manpower to repair a ship. Before strategic bombs were tested, workers always had to go in and build wood and concrete buildings, which would then get blown to shit and examined. Old and damaged ships and basically free test subjects, and it's better to annihilate them in the name of SCIENCE than to spend months and months taking them apart or repairing them.

And despite their ultra-destructive power, atomic bombs actually aren't to expensive... Essentially, they're a big hollow torpedo. Inside the front of it there's a massive piece of volatile matter, usually Uranium-235 I think, while the other end has a little spring that fires a single neutron into the other piece of matter when the bomb is activated, causing a chain reaction and atomic breakdown. That's all it really is. A torpedo and a spring. Thankfully U-235 is really hard to acquire... but that didn't stop us from going full retard and stockpiling enough nukes to blow up the world fifty times over. *facepalm*

I had school today but between band, choir, and athletics going on a field trip to an amusement park, people going to watch our softball team compete in the State Championship, and then just staying home there was only about 50 students at school. SO IT WAS A FUN DAY. XD

So today marks the end of my highschool years... I was saying my goodbyes to everybody, arm bumping my bros (you know that thing that's like a fist bump except with your arm? Yesnomaybe? Yeah, we're retarded) when this guy comes up behind me and gives me this one-armed hug thing and walked away without saying a word... It was the most emotional part of the day man, because that guy was someone who I had met in 7th grade, five years ago. We've been at odds ever since, never once agreeing and always arguing. I've just never escalated it because he's freakin' huge (a foot taller than me) and probably strong enough to beat down Ironman with his pinky. I was almost indifferent in most goodbyes and all, but that guy just made my day, man. ;-; Settling differences like a boss. I have mad respect for that guy now, because I'd never have done something like that to him. I'mma miss all those juniors too. D:

My local GameStop wasn't hiring and I couldn't get a job at the library so I just went with Walmart 'cause I already had two friends working there and I know those corporate losers would give me job... not just because I'm freakin' awesome, but because there's some asshole that works there that never does his job, and the only reason he hasn't been fired is because they haven't found a replacement for him...
